13 Stripes Brewery, 1307 Old Easley Highway, Easley + 250 Mill St., PW3101, Taylors | Celebrations run Sept.27-Oct. 3. Baker’s General batch is available now in taprooms before it’s officially released on Sept. 27.
Grateful Brew GVL, 501 S. Pleasantburg Dr. | On Oct. 7, Grateful Brew is partnering with Sierra Nevada to feature special brews. Grainville Food Project will be on site with pretzels + The Groovy Dawg will be selling brats + hotdogs. You can also expect raffles, prizes, and commemorative steins.

Five Forks Brewing, 2613 Woodruff Rd. Unit 102, Simpsonville | Five Forks will host Oktobeerfest from Oct. 8-10. The weekend-long celebration includes live music, food trucks, and beer. BellaNova Strings will be headlining.
Fireforge Crafted Beer, 311 E. Washington St. | From Sept. 24-26, Fireforge will feature live Oompah music and special beers for Oktoberfest + the fall season, like The Spice is Right Imperial Pumpkin Ale.
IronHill Brewery, 741 Haywood Rd. | From Sept. 17- Oct. 3, you’ll find traditional Bavarian-inspired food featuring everything from Jagerschnitzel to Oktoberfest Egg Rolls, as well as a medium-bodied lager.
Pangaea Brewing, 115 Welborn St. | Celebrate Oktoberfest from Sept. 25-26 with 2 seasonal Oktoberfest brews + special food offerings.
Hub City Brewfest, 1802 Drayton Rd., Spartanburg | Hub City is hosting Drafts at Drayton on Sept. 25. You’ll find beers + ciders on tap from 15 SC breweries.
Ciclops Cyderi and Brewery, 197 E. St. John St., Spartanburg | From Oct. 1-3, Ciclops will release the Vladiberger Pilsner, have an accordion player on site, host games with prizes, host Karaoke, and feature a German-inspired menu.
You can also get a taste of Germany at Southernside Brewing by ordering the soft pretzel sticks with housemade beer cheese + a Märzen — a Malty German amber lager.

What we tried (with pricing): Our group of 8 booked 2 lanes for 1 hour of axe throwing. Axe throwing is $20 per person per hour for up to 8 people. - City Council is set to review a development agreement today which proposes the city pay for a plaza, sidewalks, and other improvements as the city + United Community Bank try to make a deal on infrastructure improvements near the new United Community headquarters at East Camperdown Way. - Hedwig and the Angry Inch — which ended its run early in 2020 because of the pandemic — reopens this month on Sept. 24 at the Warehouse Theatre as the season opener. Blue Star Theatre discounts for veterans and active military are available + I Pay What I Can Sunday is on Sept. 26 at 3 p.m.

- Ro & Co Clothing — a clothing + accessories store — is now open in the west village at 1172 Pendleton Street. The new store will be open Tues.-Fri., from, 10 a.m.-6p.m and Sat., from 10 a.m.-5p.m.
Coronavirus
- Upstate Pride SC has canceled all remaining in-person events for 2021 because of the spike in COVID-19 cases. The cancellation includes all OUTside, Pride Week 2021, and Pride-sponsored events. Follow Upstate Pride for more information + to hear about 2022 events. 🌈
