What was once home to the Hartness family, the Greenvillians behind the Hartness community, will open this winter as Hotel Hartness, a boutique hotel in Greenville’s Eastside.
We joined the Hotel Hartness team for a sneak peak at the progress.

The property, managed by New Hampshire-based Hay Creek Hotels, features: -
69 traditional rooms and suites + four spa suites
- The Captain bar + lounge
- Patterson, a fine dining restaurant
- A ballroom with a waterfront deck
- A spa with six treatment rooms

- A pool with a view of the property’s pond
- Recreational trails + bicycles

| The Hartness Home
The lobby, a board room, a breakfast buffet + gathering space are among the rooms you’ll find in the former Hartness home. General Manager Albert Mertz says he hopes guests feel the comfort of home, with an emphasis on a modern but cozy design.

The Captain Down the hall you’ll find The Captain, a bar + lounge featuring cocktails and small plates from Executive Chef Tanner Marino. The bar, with walls of reclaimed barnwood, will seat about 30 guests. Chef Tanner will also oversee the menu at Patterson, a fine dining restaurant just steps out the back door from the main building.

We all scream for ice cream Yogi’s Cups and Cones coming to Mauldin’s BridgeWay Station. The ice cream shop, featuring 150+ rotating flavors, will occupy 800 sqft and is the first ice cream concept from local entrepreneur Yogi Patel. Yogi is also opening Mauldin’s Bohemian Bull later this year. 🍦
- Volcano Korean BBQ and Hot Pot (Park Woodruff Dr.), located at the former Wing-N-Crab spot on Woodruff Road, is coming soon.
Hot pot traditionally features a simmering pot of soup at the table with various raw ingredients (think: meat, seafood + vegetables) for
