Hello Thursday.
March 28 2024
It's been a tough year for the arts in Greenville. The community arts industry (theatres, festivals, concerts, etc.) contributes ~$240 million to the local economy each year. In the wake of canceled events during COVID-19, revenue and income losses for Greenville’s arts organizations were estimated to exceed $100 million dollars, if not more.
But the good news is here: Greenville’s arts scene is returning. Today, Metropolitan Arts Council (MAC) is sharing 9 arts venues to revisit as they reopen post-COVID for the 2021-2022 arts season — all of which you can access with the MAC Art Card. 🙌

ICYMI, Savereign, the plant store in The Village, has added a new addition to the shop. Sari-Sari, according to owner AJ, is the “...Tagalog translation of variety or mix. These stores play a special part in the communities they are located in. Think of them as a #filipino bodega.”
He says all of the items are things he grew up with like candy, noodles, drinks, and more. We also spy some candles, home goods, and other fun things on the shelves.
