Hello Thursday.
March 28 2024
Today’s the day. No, we’re not talking about National Star Wars Day. It’s Opening Day for the Greenville Drive at Fluor Field.
After almost two years, tonight, fans will, once again, be root, root, rooting for the home team as they take on the Bowling Green Hot Rods at 7:05 p.m. ⚾

To help you get into the spirit, we’re going to look back at some of the Drive’s *home runs* over the last 15 years.
⚾ April 6, 2006: The Drive’s first home game at Fluor Field at the West End (then known as West End Field). They played at Columbus Catfish, and Mayor Knox White threw out the first pitch.
⚾ 350,000: The record number of tickets sold by the team in a season.
⚾ 2017: The Greenville Drive wins the South Atlantic League Championship, Best Ballpark Renovation Award from the MiLB, and the John H. Johnson President’s Award — “designating it the best minor league team in the nation.”
⚾ 2019: The Drive achieves the highest attendance of all 14 teams in the South Atlantic League.
⚾ 93+: The number of Greenville Drive alums on Major League rosters.
